My life is a journey of visual challenges translated into contemporary art-forms of colour, texture, movement and mixed media depending on the subject I am working on at the time and when I look back at my work I see individual stories of people and emotions I have encountered, as if I were turning the pages of a book.
“Karin’s Race” (above) was created in
2007 for my sister-in-law who was suffering with cancer. By researching shape, form and movement I was able to create a raw
emotion based on one woman’s race across a canvas.
Art is important within society, so often expressing words unsaid.
I have spent a life time learning art forms and now enjoy using these techniques to express myself and issues I feel are important to me.
